Project |04 NTVIS

The aim of  the Life Long Learning Project NTVIS "New Transgenerational Visual Literacy" (2012-2014)  is to support exchange of knowledge and skills between the  elderly and young people. Seniors will provide heritage knowledge, and young people will prepare tasks and presentations on the same  topic but using mobile applications and media communities. Young people   benefit from the knowledge and experience of the elder, while seniors  gain the necessary basics of mobile applications and social media.

IG|02 THE INTERPRETIVE GUIDE PROJECT

The Interpretive Guides at the Archaeological Museum in Mytilene, Greece and in the Unesco enlisted Medieval Town of Rhodes, Greece have learned how to design a cognitive-emotional cultural heritage experience

GRAND MASTER CHALLENGE |03 title

“GRAND MASTER CHALLENGE. THE GAME” is played at 10 selected geolocations in the Medieval Town of Rhodes, Greece.

Each geolocation  is connected to a special meaning and a task. Main goal is to entertain heritage tourists  and inspire them to:

  • Co-create contents

  •  Get to know and valorize local heritage

  • Experience heritage in a playful way without alienating the socio-historical context

The Game tells a story at each play unit. Depth and complexity depend directly on the location-task correlation, which affects the time required to play at each location, perform the tasks, the ease of accessing and processing information.

The Game is linked to Social Media Channels. By mastering all relevant tasks the winner is awarded the title of the Grand Master. Promoting the Game’s ludic character, winners receive a diploma and a free meal/drink and his/her photograph is uploaded in the GM-Gallery, Generation II.
